I have always, quite simply, been in love with physical exercise. From a young age I played sport and as I grew up this turned into a passion and desire to simply see how fit I could get. When I discovered CrossFit, I realised I had found a way to get strong and fit at the same time, it was love at first sight!! My passion for training is still as strong today as ever.
I discovered CrossFit around six years ago when I was a Police Officer and as there were no gyms around I mostly did it on my own in my garden….and mostly did it wrong as I had no coach to guide me! Eventually I found a box in Cambridge and began attending classes there. My passion for training soon developed into coaching and I began to start coaching there, whilst earning my coaching qualifications I also underwent a thorough internship.
When the opportunity to open LiftOff came around in 2014 I jumped at it and left my career in the police to fully dedicate my life to bringing fitness to others. I am passionate about helping normal people get fitter, stronger, healthier, faster, live longer…..the list goes on! The most important thing to me is that training is fun and applicable to everyone. This is vital, because training can be a chore for some, so we do everything possible to make sure that people can come and train in a supportive community, with challenging, interesting workouts to do everyday.
As head coach/owner I oversee the day to day running of the gym, run the development of coaches/staff and design the programming, along with coaching classes.
