Here at LiftOff CrossFit, we believe that fitness and health are a lifelong journey, to get the most out of life we need to learn how to use our bodies as they were intended and understand how best to fuel ourselves to promote health and longevity.
Our academy provides fitness coaching for children from age 4 upwards. This is something that we feel passionate about as being incredibly important!
If you watch a child playing, they are often exploring their own physicality, bet that jumping on the bed, running round in the garden or climbing trees! The reality is however that in today’s society these opportunities are becoming more and more limited, childhood obesity is on the rise and playing outside in the dirt is often ignored for the call of a PlayStation or iPad!
So we believe that it is important to promote movement and health for children! This is done in a safe, well-structured environment. The children are progressed very slowly, there is scaling for each individual to account for the fact that children grow at hugely varying rates.
Our professional coach, Anne Lise specializes in coaching kids and helping them move better. This will set them up for lifelong success, less pain as they grow older and hopefully a foundation to continue exercising safely for many years to come!
